Although many people feel flushed when caught talking to themselves in the mirror, it is the remedy to all life puzzles, and everyone ought to do it. Self-introspection is easily one of the best habits you can cultivate for growth and development. I mean, who can solve your problems better than you, right?

Positive self-talk can really improve your mood, even if not solve your problems that instant. It helps evolve the mental skills and increases focus in generic tasks. For instance, if you’re trying to mug up a complicated quantum physics formula, you’ll definitely retain it better if you repeat it out loud a couple of times. Many a times, it so happens that we get drowned in the pieces of advice given by other people, that we tend to overlook what we actually desire. As part of human nature, we’re all very gullible, and tend to get easily persuaded and we end up missing out on important life experiences just because ‘log kya kahenge’.

Self-awareness means understanding your personality. You also understand your values, your relationships, and your beliefs. Self-awareness includes understanding how you process your experiences. Gaining greater awareness is a long-term process, not an overnight achievement. You do it over time by creating a routine of self-reflection and introspection. It’s something you’ll do for the rest of your life. Possessing this quality also boosts your self-confidence miles high.
